Project7 Armor releases All New SPR

The Scalable Plate Rack (SPR) from PROJECT7 ARMOR is the first platform of its kind, providing both ballistic scalability and loadout configurability. SPR pairs mobility and flexibility with coverage and comfort for a superior platform that moves with the operator. SPR is purpose-built to provide scalability from an entry vest to a plate rack, making it an ideal platform for a wide range of missions including high-risk entries, linear assaults, vertical access, aerial platform, and rural operations.

Built to be fully and rapidly scalable to individual missions, the upgraded SPR features a hard-armor core, an extra-wide 7.5” soft-armor cummerbund, a removable soft-armor yoke, and upper arms, lower abdominal, groin, and spine protectors. SPR also features an in-cummerbund Adaptive Pouch System, kangaroo pouch with Kydex magazine retention inserts, and pry bar tool pouches, providing the ability to carry mission-essential gear while conserving MOLLE load-bearing surface. Its removable yoke system provides ballistic protection for the shoulders and upper back as well as an attachment point for upper arm ballistics. Five interconnected internal radio routing channels optimize cable storage for ease of wear. The front of the vest also comes equipped with integrated load bearing attachment points, a bottom-loading SAPI sized rifle plate pouch, and a concealed tourniquet pouch. The padded spacer mesh design on the platform’s shoulder allows for breathability and adjustability while a padded interior enhances ventilation throughout. The back of the platform also features a downed operator drag strap, 1PS single point sling anchors, reinforced MOLLE epaulets for sling and headset cables, and the operator’s choice between rip-stop or spacer mesh liner.

In order to provide the most efficient loadout exchange on the market, the upgraded SPR is equipped with PROJECT7’s new FLEX Loadout Configuration System, a customizable Velcro® and snaps system that allows operators to quickly change their loadouts to meet their mission needs. Operators can choose the amount of different panels they require and pre-load each panel to their specifications. When it’s time for loadout exchange, FLEX panels can be changed in seconds.

Speaking about the new SPR, PROJECT7 founder Jon Becker stated:

“We are extremely excited to launch the new SPR. At its core, PROJECT7 is about letting operator feedback guide product development and creating designs that make our armor fit our users’ missions. The new SPR is the product of years of user feedback and testing. With SPR, we are able to not only offer ballistic scaling, but true mission-specific configurability.”

The SPR is now exclusively sold in North America by AARDVARK. The new SPR features a SAPI-based rifle plate sizing system, is available in 24 sizes and 7 color combinations, and features webless or retro MOLLE with rip-stop or spacer mesh liners. Its patented three-piece cummerbund elastic is user replaceable to minimize downtime.
