NATIONAL GUARD BUREAU CROWD CONTROL CAPABILITY SETS
Project Summary
CLIENT: National Guard Bureau
PROJECT: Crowd Control Capability Sets (CCCS)
DESTINATION: National Guard Management Center – Lexington, KY
SCOPE: 113,802 Items, 39 Containers, 117,000 lbs. of Equipment
HIGHLIGHTS: Single Container Configuration, Domestic Use, GFE Management
Problem
In an effort to enhance their crowd control capabilty during civil disturbances and disaster situations, the National Guard Bureau needed to develop a system of riot control gear and nonlethal munitions that could be deployed domestically.
Objectives
- Easily deployable for unit
- Prevent domestic casualties
- Better crowd control during civil disturbances
Solution
AARDVARK developed the Crowd Control Capability Set, housing enough equipment for a platoon-sized National Guard unit into a single container. The CCCS includes a variety of riot control protective and support gear, less lethal munitions with launchers, TASER electric control devices, and Government Furnished Equipment. AARDVARK assisted the NGB with the fielding of 39 sets that could be quickly deployed domestically when less lethal operations are most important.
